We'll help you set your strategy through our guided strategy workshops

When developing strategies, we prefer to set the strategic framework on a broader platform using collaborative working and team co-creation. During these workshops, we seek to define the future state after change, specific measurable objectives and, in particular, strategic initiatives phased into detailed action projects. All of this is based on the change vision, but also on the external environment and internal resources. We guide our clients through the entire strategic process so that all participants support and accept the outcomes and understand the final action plan at the end.

Why strategy workshops?

A very important aspect are the elements of change management. Through the involvement of more employees, we will significantly increase the ability to accept, i.e., to embrace change, and then deliver the change effectively.

What is the content of the strategy workshops?

A strategy workshop does not have to be conducted only on corporate development strategies, which is still very common. But we also help to set up plans for selected specific areas of change, such as human resources, production, logistics, purchasing, but also for specific changes in the organization (online, moving, change of business plan, new organizational structure…), i.e., where we need to define a series of action steps in time, with resources and a specific assignment.

1 VALUE ANALYSIS

We usually start selected workshops with an analysis of values and culture. These aspects are important if we are doing a corporate, organizational strategy. If it is a purely technical strategy, this first part of the workshop can be suppressed or omitted completely and replaced or enriched with an analysis of trends, business models, industry or customer analysis and their behavior.

2 VISION OF CHANGE

We will set a vision for a particular change, or a specific assignment of the strategy workshop. The set Vision is a guide for the next action steps. We further seek answers to the question “what do we need to do to fulfill this vision” in our workshops.

3 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

How will we measure the success of the strategy in the future? What are the parameters we will focus on? We set strategic objectives, which can be long term 1-3 years, but we can also define medium term and short-term objectives (called OKRs), depending always on the type of change.

4 STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Strategic directions/projects that will enable us to achieve our vision and strategic objectives. We typically aim for 4 to 6 strategic initiatives, which we will then develop into detailed projects.

5 ACTION PLAN

Specifically, action steps, output descriptions, resources and everything that will be needed for implementation (called enablers). For each project, an owner is already assigned to describe the strategic initiative in greater detail. We create an action plan, which is usually the final output of the strategy workshop.
